06-07 F150...Questions Before Buying
Hey, I just joined up.
Im looking to buy a 06-07 F150, and Im just curious if theres anything specific I should be looking for before I make a purchase. My budget limits me, so I'll probably have to buy one with 70-90K miles on it.
I know of a a few people that havent had problems until about 115K miles, so Im not really questioning the reliability.
Anything specific to the 2006-2007 models that I should look for?
I will not be towing or plowing with it.
Thanks in advance.
Nick

What does the noisy cam phasers sound like?
I just bought an 07 with 38K and would like to know if I have this.
Does noisy cam phasers mean there is a problem? Do they need to be replaced? Any long term effects?
Thanks

I haven't had the excitement to change my plugs on my truck yet. On the 01' I had it wasn't too bad minus the scrapped up knuckles I got from the plugs being so far back and in a tight spot. I'll be changing mine in the next 15k miles and it's only pricey if you don't do it yourself. But I love everything about my 07. If you like it buy it. check tire thread and if they are almost bald either try getting money for a new set in the deal or have them get you a new pair. if it's around that mileage it should be needing a change soon seeing tires usually last 30-40k
If a truck just had a "scheduled 75k mile service" done, is it likely the plugs were changed out? If not, at least checked?
