I bet they total it at this point.
If the frame is 5500 bucks, plus all the hours to R/R the truck, and that means dis assemble it and rebuild it, they will write it off usually at 80% of book value.

I have never done a replacement as my shop is too small for it, I get stuff in and out as I do work for 30 other shops that don't have machines, plus I have the only EZ Liner within 40 miles so I get a lot of SUV's the smaller machines can't do.

Hell if they total it, Id go find an old 76 F250 4x4. Yeah the gas would be terrible, but Id have no payments and cheaper insurance!

Im just curious how much time it will take for them to remove and replace everything. Im pretty sure they operate at around $90-100 dollars an hour. Im just hoping they total it.
You should demand that they use OEM Ford parts. You do not have to accept the cheap stuff.

I was hit in the rear right before christmas and pushed into the truck infront of me, they replaced both bumpers, the hitch, the upper bumper cover, the grill, a headlight and some other little things and it was almost $4500. And that was just for 2 bumpers and some plastic.

Here was the Chevy Tracker that hit me.

And Here is my truck.

Its didnt look to bad right, well $4500 later it was all fixed.

Yep $4500, and another $400 and some for a rental for a couple weeks. So you might be getting up there in $ for yours. The old F150 held up pretty good to that tracker going about 35 MPH. I was perfectly fine, the lady in the tracker was too but the passenger side airbag went off but not the driver side, go figure. I saw her coming too, i was at a dead stop and looked in my rearview and saw her coming like a freight train, with her stareing out her side window, so i put my head bad, pushed the brake as hard as i could and braced for impact. She must have turned her head right before she hit me cause i heard tires squeal right before impact, then she pushed me about 3 feet into the truck in front of me, there was more damage in the front from nudging the truck in front of me than from that lady whaling me in the rear!

Oh ya, i have a tow hook in my receiver, she got that pretty good and it was like a fish hook being pulled out when i pulled away.

Just got off the phone with the body shop. Apparently they have a front kit to fix bent frames from the front cross member forward. it slips inside the rest of the frame, gets welded in and is good as new. He said the rest of the frame is good and now they are just waiting on the rest of the parts from Ford. The bumper is a salvage bumper, but they are painting it so I dont care. Right now total cost is $4800.
