Interior makeover!?!

So, I plan on redoing the interior of my 07 lariat... The old man wood grain clashes with the lifted-sporty image of the exterior... That and the green lights are quite hideous...

Bought a center bezel off a member and am going to paint it blue. If i like how this looks I will paint accent woodgrain blue as well and install all pieces into vehicle.

am looking to switch my h/u with a flipscreen that has blue buttons and functions (mainly because of the ipod interface-and it was free)

need to change out green buttons:
Window controls
moonroof/power slider controls
4x4 control
lights cont.
Climate con. (including temperature gauge?? not sure about this)
steering wheel co.
info/reset buttons
and of course... instrument cluster (seen overlays online...)

so anyways... if anybody has useful information on any of the prementioned items (links to other threads etc) that can be bulked to this for my quick reference and aid (and for any other NBS member) I would greatly appreciate it, I know i've seen a lot of these threads out there but some are difficult to find and it would be a huge help to me.

Also feel free to suggest some other interior detail ideas to go with what I am already planning/hoping to do as long as it is all possible

The interior is black with black leather/center shifter and as mentioned lariat woodgrain...

I also want to get rid of my woodgrain stuff and the corbon fiber ones to replace them.

I just don't know where to get them.

Another option other than painting the trim pieces would be using vinyl. You can get it in different colors, and the process is reversable if you decide to sell your truck.

CHICKS DIG THE WOODGRAIN, BRUH

Haha I second the vinyl option...if you ever wanted to sell or trade a lot of people would ooh and ahh over the woodgrain compared to carbon fiber etc.

as long as the paint comes out well then I'm likely to follow through with painting all the wood pieces... it costs none extra, and i can do the exact color i want without having to buy and apply stick ons. I think they might come out tacky and in no way shape or form do i plan on selling this truck - so I'm not worried about resaleability.

I can help with the window switches and dash lights. I'm in the process of doing mine now. Search on Ebay for type 1206 L.E.D.s, that is what is in the window switches. I recommend Niktronix, about the only US seller, shipping is quick. Two l.e.d.s per lit switch. I replaced 18 in my four doors. The dash l.e.d.s are plcc-2 type. I ordered 50 of these from China, if I have left overs I would be glad to send them to you. I have also ordered a set of faces from White Face Gauges on Ebay to go with the Boze Billet dash kit I have on the way. I will post more info and pics on these items when they arrive.

Go to www.wooddashexperts.com they have it all. Carbon fiber, plain colors, wood grains. They have the most extensive kit that i have seen online. And if you call up to their customer support they can even break up kits if you only want specific pieces.

thanks for the help so far guys... it looks like the replacement cover kits are for manual climate control though... where i have the auto.

mentaldefex... let me know how they turn out! I'd appreciate the leftovers to try out when you're finished.

I wonder if they make a blue woodgrain kit... I think I've seen this before, but maybe it would look tacky. thoughts?

I'm ready to get started with this project early next week!

FWIW I've seen more paint jobs come out tacky than vinyl. It doesn't take much for a paint job to go wrong. However, if everything goes good (no runs, fingerprints, scratchs, or other imperfections) the painted trim pieces look good.

Here is a link to a thread where someone else wanted to replace the wood grain. Replacing Wood Interior (radio bezel/door trim) They never did a follow up on their project, so it could have been a failure. It looked to be going good in a few of the pictures that were posted.

I have seen blue woodgrain kits before, I just don't remember where. I think Gator Crew has something similar in his truck. I believe he has a grey wood grain that he got from patterntek?

Hey Shortbox54, check this out: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...t-cluster.html

I used 23 of the 50 PLCC-2 l.e.d's that I bought. PM me and we can decide what to do with the other 27.
