truck stutters under load

SO, Ive been researching on here about my problem and to no prevail. When im driving and going up-hill, if i keep my foot at the same throttle speed, the truck begins to stutter and it almost feels like its a fuel or ignition problem. so when it starts to stutter, I pretty much go to wot and see what happens. It stutters all the way up into the next gear. This happens in all different gears so i know its not just a certain gear issue. Form other posts, people are pointing fingers at the COP's and plugs. I have 42k and a 5.4 so i know that they will be due soon...but if its the cops, wouldnt it throw a code? I have a edge evo tuned to level 3. thats why i almost think its a tranny problem...any ideas? thanks everyone

First tune the truck back to stock and see if it still does it. Other than that it could be number of things - bad gas, clogged fuel filter, bad plugs bad COP's.

Mine does this as well

My 08 with the edge on level 2 does this as well. Does not with the truck in stock program. Talked with edge who insists everything is ok. I don't run my edge anymore except as a monitor. Im going to send all my info in to edge because i want an answer as to exactly what is happening and i think you should at the very least contact them as well with as much recorded data as possible. Day, time, driving conditions, temp, engine vitals etc.... the more info they get the better info you will get back. Also i have had my tranny serviced 3 times as a precaution and the tranny mech said everything tested ok (pressure tested) i am going to do an upgrade to the tranny next.

Keep us up to date with results

i defiantly will do. first, Im going to start by changing the fuel filter and see where that goes....maybe add some gas treatment like octane boost to get the points up there so the gas will burn a little better.

I called a shop to get an estimate for them to change the plugs (i usually do this sort of thing myself but id rather have the liability on them for a possible broken plug) they charge 350 to change the plugs and thats with them supplying the plugs. if I buy my own plugs, it will be about 290 plus tax. I even asked the tec. who wrote up my order, "what happens if one of your guys break my spark plug? because Im not going to pay for your employees mistakes done on my truck" he told me that the only way there would be an extra charge, is if they do something extra than just a spark plug change...and they would have to ask me before hand. He then confirmed that there would be no extra charge if they broke a stock spark plug....they would treat it like if they were tightening lug nuts on the truck and the bolt broke..they would replace the bolt because THEY broke it....haha i guess they dont deal with 04-08 f150's very much
