What? A new Super Crew FX4 with NO options retails for $38k. That truck is worth at least $30k. More if you sell it outright.

Yeah, that doesn't sound bad at all. 24K plus 2k is 26k, not 28k. You won't have to pay taxes on the amount they give you for the trade-in. If you want a diesel, I say go for it. Once you go diesel, you won't want to go back!

I'd part out some of those mods and put it as close to stock as possible. Dealers usually don't care about mods and won't compensate you for them since most people are looking for stock trucks. You might make a few more coin by parting the mods that you can and selling them separate.

amount

I've been reading about the 6.0 issues... they WILL give me 26K plus my warr refund...so 28K payoff from the bank is 27K they are asking 32K for the truck.....retail on it is 34 plus lift ect... but there are a few things that they need to touch up. I like the truck... it'll pull anything I have and some..... doubt I'll put a chip on it due to the head issues.... just wondering if I'm really in for the maint cost surge that I hear alot of people talk about. With the 38K on the clock the warr is good for 100K but only 5 yrs...so I'd only have a yr left unless I get the ext.....for a fee...but from hearing some stories, that seem the best way to go with a diesel.

good friends!!

I talked with a friend that works in the parts dept...gave here the VIN off the truck and she finds that they JUST replaced the steering gear box, also noted in the file was that it needs inner and outter tie rods, but they weren't going to replace them, just selling it AS/IS for 34K !!!

and the warr will run out in Oct 2011... and unless I get a ext warr from a outside source, i'll be footing the bill for everything after that!

Looks like new blue is getting to stick around in the stables for a while longer!

I think 30K sounds Good. I have my FX2 posted in the classifieds for 20K. No comparison to your truck because of different base models. If I can't get 20K for it, I'll keep it for a driver. Here it is:

Do you still make the lower grills? I still want one but it will be quite awhile until I can order one.
