d/s question

New here but I need some help. I need to know if you have a 1 piece aluminium drive shaft on your truck. I have recently bought a '05 Lariat crew cab, lifted on 35s, 2wd, 5.4 liter. reason I'm asking is I have a vibration from 50-60 mph and have a leak from the pinion seal and the tail shaft of the tranny. No, it's not from a balance issue from the wheels I have already had them checked. I believe my D/S is flexing from the torque and causing the vib and the leak. can anyone please post a pic of their stock ride hight D/S and what the underside looks like or confirm what D/S they have for their 2wd 05 lariat crew cab. Thanks in advance!

I don't think anyone is making aluminum shafts for these trucks. I put one on the Mustang from these guys. They do custom sizes, give them a call. If it were me, I'd look around locally for a shop that can rebalance your current shaft and have them check it. I doubt the shaft is flexing, it's most likely just slightly out of balance. While it's out for balancing you can get those seals replaced.

Did it vibrate at higher speeds before you put the 35's on? Not sure the shaft speed difference (and what MPH that equates to) between stock tires and 35's, maybe it vibrated with stock tires at 67 or 73 MPH?

Thanks for the responses guys, I don't know if it vibrated with stock size tires because I bought my truck used with different wheels which were 35's but since the change it still vibrates at the same speeds. it also came with the aluminium D/S that says FOMOCO on a it. Have you guys heard of an out of balance D/S causing a pinion seal leak and a tranny tail shaft leak on a lifted truck? Also can anyone tell me what your pinon angle should be the way I sit?
