Any way to check for odometer fraud?
the mileage is in the cluster, if he swapped clusters, he could change mileage, I have been through all of it, i changed clusters, with the correct mileage though. it should be stored in the ecu, and should come up the same with every cluster, but it doesnt. id steer clear of it personally, even if it does have 7500 miles, why would you want to have a beat up truck at 7500 miles, its not even broke in yet
1. You buy the truck, and the truck has had it's mileage tampered with.
or
2. You buy the truck the mileage is correct, but the truck has been beaten to death.
F150's are a dime a dozen. I'd keep looking.
It may actually have 7500 miles on it but they may be VERY HARD miles if the under carriage is that rough.... I picked up my used 07 SCREW with a little over 12K on it and
the under carriage looked NEW........... As much as I hate them... CARFAX.....
the under carriage looked NEW........... As much as I hate them... CARFAX.....
100% agree. Best case scenario, it all checks out and seems legit... but because of the apprehension, you/cousin will always be second guessing. i know it would drive me NUTS.

Who's to say this guy don't use his truck but for when he needs it and that's down a gravel road? Just saying low miles on single purpose vehicle isn't odd at all. I see them all the time on craigslist where rich folks buy a pickup to pull their boat to the lake just on the weekends during the summer.
