Evolution problem

You don't need to tell them you have an Edge. If they ask how you know you have a code tell them you took it to a parts store and they did a scan for you. No use giving them an excuse to deny warranty work for you.

Tell them you are a member on this site and you had been advised there is a fix for your problem. Do not volunteer that you have a tuner. The tuner is not causing the problem, just revealing the problem.

I never took it in. I called the dealer and they told me they had no clue what I was talking about. They said I would have to leave my truck there so they could figure out what was wrong. I need my truck everyday for work so that's why I won't leave it there. I can drive my truck in stock mode with no problems so I'm not too worried about it right now. Emailed Bill from PHP a week or so ago and heard nothing. Also no solutions that worked from here or the PHP forum.

If there is a TSB out there for the condition you're experiencing with your truck, the dealer should know about it. All you have to do is explain your issue, maybe tell them the TSB number, and if they don't know what you're talking about and give you a puzzled look like 'What are you talking about' I'd go elsewhere.

I finally had time to take my truck to the dealer. They hooked it up and told me there was no PCM update and that the throttle body seemed to be fine. The only thing they found was that mice have been hanging out on top of my engine. The guy came out with his needlenose pliers holding a wad of pink insulation on it. I park my truck in my back garage that can hold 3 cars, so a lot of it is just storage. Now I need to figure out how to repel mice so they don't ruin my truck. Well I'm going out now to send in my Edge for a Gryphon. Maybe my Edge is just screwed up, but I want the ability to get custom tunes anyway.
