Debating on rear shocks

Truck is a 2005 FX4. Im thinking about replacing my stock rear shocks with Monroe Sensatrac's. Anyone have any input on these shocks? Have read some threads saying they give a smoother ride than stock. I have been bouncing around like crazy on the roads up here in Northern Michigan and want something smoother. They are pretty inexpensive also, and are shocks hard to swap out yourself? I would think so, just 2 bolts correct? thanks

i have those and love them. really help level off my TT when hooked up and WD applied. ride is good loaded or unloaded. and for a side note, they do raise the rear about and inch. i installed mine back in sept and they have not settled so i get i keep the extra inch in the rear.....

on installing them, i did mine right in the garage and didnt even have to take off the wheels. just might need to lower the jack a lil to line up the holes with the new shocks....

Thanks, I think Im going to buy them in the next couple weeks. The cheapest I found them was $116 shipped off ebay (brand new of course). So the ride is smoother than stock? Thats essentially what im after, the stock FX4 shocks are just a bit stiff.

not bad at all.....the price has even already changed on amazon. back up to $92. you will love them, i do. i had 2 runs of firewood and 3 hay bales loaded in the bed of my truck with my TT with 1100#TW hookedup and sat perfectly level. drove 630miles like that.....

I dont do much hauling, just want a smoother ride and I like that it gives alittle height. Im going to be doing a body lift here in a few weeks too, so I got a lot of plans for my truck right now.
