reverse sensing system and climate control questions

I have a 2005 fx4 with a 5.4

Okay so first of all something really messed up is going on with my RSS. Every time I have my RSS turned on and I put it in reverse, I get a steady tone (even when nothing is behind me) then the whole system shuts off and the button on my dash lights up and says off. but for me to turn it back on I have to turn my truck off completely then once I start it the whole process happens again.

and also, I was wondering if it is possible to put a dual climate temperature control in a vehicle that doesnt come with it? would it simply just be plug it in and go?

I had a similar issue in my previous vehicle with the reverse sensor, but not to that degree. It was a bad sensor that was replaced under warranty. Unless you already have EATC, retrofitting it is going to get awfully expensive.

Changing to dual zone climate control is a lot more than the switch panel. There have been a few members who have tried this upgrade and AFAIK none have been successful. IMO if you want it that bad trade your truck in for one that has it, otherwise forget it.

okay. good to know. i was just curious. it would be a nice upgrade but its not very important. and ill have to check codes for the sensors to start. i was thinking it might be some kind of short..
