just want to see what you guys are getting out there with/without mods. preferably people out there with the 35.7 gallon gas tank. how many miles do you guys usually get at the half tank mark? and how many miles can you go on a full tank?

i have the 35.7 i think the most ive gotten on a full tank and ran it under E was around 470miles........intake, straight pipe, and 87 performance tune

 

With no performance or economy mods I get between 500-700 miles per tank depending on how often I mash the pedal to the floor and how much Highway driving I do. I usually go every 6-8 days with each fill up.

This is all on a full tank. I never fill it at half because I'm already at the gas station too much as it is. I do have the 35.7 gallon tank though.

My 93 F250 gets about 200-250 miles per tank but it only has 15 gallons to work with.

 

I did not now they had a 35.7 tank. I know its not what you asked for but I had a 4.6 screw with the 30 gallon and the most I ever registered was 499.

 

475 miles to date mostly highway on 26.9 gallons.
I have a 27.5 gallon tank near as I can tell.

 

I have a 30.0 gallong tank and i get about 300 miles to the tank mods are listed below

 

how the hell do you get close to 700 miles on at tank?...i have a 08 3v 5.4 with everything stock other than a 2.5" level kit and roll up bed cover and i only get 16.2 miles to the gallon and i drive 1000 miles a week and i only get 400 miles to 26.3 gallons (i have a 30 gal tank). I think these truck are terrible on gas mileage...the sticker on mine said 13 city/17 highway....i've NEVER seen over 16.2 mpg

 

I manage to get 390ish with a 26 gallon tank. Not what you asked for, but I just felt like sharing.

i also think thats a bit strange u get 500-700. i have the mods listed below and i dont think iv ever even hit 500 on my 35.7 tank with the 5.4.....or i could just be jelous.

 

I get about 400 on 26 gallons all city. I have had as much as 490 or so on the same gallons, but it was all hwy. Works out to roughly 16/19 mpg. Pretty much what the sticker said it would, 5.4L 3.55LS.

 

That's just a guess, I never bothered to check.

The longest trip I've gone on is 500 miles one way and I was able to do the entire trip one way on 1 tank of gas. But that was while doing 80-85 MPH down the interstate in straight lines.

I didn't think to check my mileage on that trip. 700 is probably a little high, it's probably closer to 600ish. but I know that with conservative driving I can get some good distances on a single tank with my 4.6.

Like you said though, you have a 5.4 so it will use slightly more gas plus I have smaller tires than most since it's the size that came from the factory.

I'm using 255/70/17s until I can afford the big change to 33s with level and new wheels and programmer.

 

mixed highway/city I average 13.5-15 MPG

I get 230 miles on 20-21 gallons

5.4L 3.73LS 33x12.5x20 tires
Gotts intake, custom flowmaster exhaust system, edge Evo Lvl 2

 

Well I've gone to Colorado Springs, CO to Albuquerque, NM on one tank of gas with a 05 F150 with the 5.4L running straight pipes. Thats 378 miles, give or take a few.

 

07 4x4 4.6 scab..........550 miles to a tank, 35.7 gallon tank.....running 255-70-17 with 3.55 ratio

 

How big is the tank on my 145" wheel base truck? As far as I can tell, it is in the neighborhood of 26-27 gallons.

My rangiest range has been about 320 miles, but with 35's and 3.55's my motor is always working OT to go down the road.
