Arrow Rear end squeaking and squealing loudly (04 FX4 SCREW)

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well. For the past week and a half the rear end of my truck (86k mi.) has been squealing, squeaking, and creaking very loudly whenever I start moving the truck, especially when it goes over uneven pavement or bumps. So far it is only present in the rear of the vehicle, mostly on the right side.

Thanks in advance,
Anthony

Hey Anthony. Get under the truck and do some leg presses or find a fat gal to jump on the bumper. You might have a loose leaf spring, bad shock, or bed bolt.

I'm 160ish. I was jumping on the bumper last night like a crazy man and I heard nothing. I'll try to get under there today.

Thanks.

You could have a cracked leaf springs, or the shims between the leaves might be damaged.

One way to test it is by spraying WD40 or PB GDL on them... do it on one side at a time. This way you will find which side it is coming from.

I've got squeaky leaves on my Dakota, and I am going to be replacing them this year with custom leaf springs.

I find that the leaf clamps on my leaf springs creak and squeak. I spray some seafoam deep creep and top it off with some white lithium grease to stop the creaking and squeaking, and this now regular PM for the truck every three months or so now.

It's going into Ford on Friday for regular service, so I'll see if they'll take a look at it without charging me out the butt.

Well, according to Ford, I have bad right front shock. One of the Bilstein 5100's that I haven't even had for a year went bad from highway mileage?
