Throttle Body Spacer?

Just wanting some opinions. I know a good bit of people used to do it on the older style trucks, but I haven't heard a lot about them on the 04+ with the new 5.4. The little I have heard about adding the spacer, is that MPG's are slightly better. I would like to know what you think or have heard. Thanks

A TBS does nothing for a port injected engine. It is usually called an expensive paper weight. Use the Advanced search and you should find some reading.

X5!! I ran one for about a week then took it out, I noticed better performance with it out. I thought the whistleing of it would be cool but It acually drove me insane. Now the spacer is sitting in a corner in my garage somewhere

On my truck its like the sound of someone doing A high pitched whistle. I found it worse right at Highway speed so driving down the hoghway it would have a constant whistle. I'll have to try to find it. the only thing is I dont have the mounting hardware I just have the spacer itself.

got one free..

I got one of these free a couple years back. I can't say it hurt anything, but I can't say it helped either. I'm still using it.. No harm, no foul! Glad I didn't spend my hard earned money on it.
