Does anyone know what the plug between the cig lighter and the backup sensor switch is, in an 06 F150? T is plugged into a blank plastic holder.

 

Mine doesnt have anything there. Maybe somebody added something?

 

most likely for an option you dont have, im going to guess heated mirrors. But a pic of the exact location would help.

 

IIRC it's for the rear window defroster option.

 

Hmmm...I dunno. My rear window defroster is next to my climate controls.

 

Which is coincidently near the cigar lighter socket. If you take the bezel/surround off around the stereo head unit, there is tons of space back there. In fact, there is so much space back there, I was able to stick my little head in there.

But, that would be right around where it would/should be dangling.

 

No it is not for the heated seats or rear defroster it has both of those up by the air controller. Would be nice to be heated mirrors though, I have a set of 08 tow mirrors coming, stock does not have the heated mirror option. As fo the pics doen't have any right now, but it is hooked to the black plastic oval that the cig lighter and backup switch is in( behind the plastic).
