Well, I searched for this very answer, only to find this thread with, well..........

I need an idea of how much fluid it's going to take to completely flush the system. I know the system can't hold a whole hell of a lot, just not sure how much to have on hand with the waste that will come from the exchange.

Wouldn't normally be a problem, but I'm ordering AMSOIL fluid and would hate to be stuck there with not enough fluid to properly finish.

I would get 2 of the large size cause its better to have too much than too little, Also start with the right rear and work your way up.

When I changed my brakes I did this very thing. I basically bled each caliper until the fluid flowed clear, and then a little more. I went though one full quart then ending up topping up the master cylinder with a little bit of a second quart.

if you just do it 3-4 bleeds per caliper you will be fine with one quart.

HAHA thanks guys.

I was just about to order the fluid and thought I would check in before I entered the quantity. I had previously estimated about 5 qts to get it clean, guess I was a bit off. Glad I checked here first.
