Seatbelt warning tone
This procedure is for the driver seat only. If you want to deactivate both seats, they must be done individually and the procedure is slightly different.
Set parking brake. Put gear selector in park. Make sure ignition switch is off, all doors are shut, driver's safety belt is unbuckled, park/headlamps are in off position.
1) Turn the ignition switch to RUN, (do not start the engine.)
2)Wait until the the safety belt warning light turns off (approximately 1-2 minutes.) (steps 3-5 must be completed within 60 seconds of light turning off.)
3)Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 3 times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled.
4)Turn on the headlamps then turn off the headlamps.
5)Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 3 times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled. (after step 5 the safety belt warning light will be turned on for 3 seconds)
6)Within 7 seconds of the safety belt warning light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt. (This will disable the Beltminder if it is currently enabled, or enable Beltminder if it is currently disabled.)
7)Confirmation of DISABLING Beltminder is provided by the safety belt warning light flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds.
8)Confirmation of ENABLING Beltminder is provided by the safety belt warning light flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds, followed by 3 seconds with safety belt warning light off, then again flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds.
9)After receiving confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete.

In my manual (2004) it says to buckle/unbuckle 9 times in place of steps 3-5 if you are doing both seats. I don't know why it has to different. The engineers must have had too much time on their hands.
If you do not have an owners manual, you can download one for free from www.motorcraftservice.com.
Not a all the time fix... But what I do everytime I get in is to....
Start Truck or Remote Start truck works same either way.
Then put on my seat belt and leave it that way...
Just kidding thing drives me nuts too...
So get in the truck, start, put foot on brake, buckle seat belt, press lock button on door, unbuckle seat belt and take foot off of brake. No more chime! At least till next time you start it.
