Fitting 40's help
Fitting 40's help
Currently got a 8" Rize Lift with 38's. not big enough haha...ready for bigger.
Im looking at options other than a body lift which may be my only option
is there any shackle lifts i can put on with this rize kit or get some custom drop shackles for the rear end? Then im stuck with what i need to do to lift the front....probably only option are king coilovers.
anyone with any help?

yeah i've seen some lift shackles for our trucks but i don't remember where. supposed to lift like 2in.s or so. you could either run a leveling kit spacer or some new coilovers and crank them up to fit the 40's. there was a guy on here awhile back that had only a 9in lift, 6in. sus./3in. bl, and he had 40s with no rubbing. you just need to have the right backspacing and you should be able to run them with 10in.s of lift no problem.
ebay i think is where the shackles are at. PM chaz he has them on his truck.
as for the front, need to bump it to 10-10.5 inches and probly will have a little rubbing depending on your tire width and wheel backspacing.
eff one fitty was running 40s with 11" with some trimming. he was (6" lift + cranked coilovers) 8" suspension and 3 body.

Actually he was running 11" of lift, he started out saying he didnt rub, but I remember in a thread not to long ago he stated he rubbed. It wont let me post the link.

thanks guys for quick responses and great help.
i think im going to put some lift shackles on...im pretty sure theres 3" lift ones...and 2" ones.
The coilovers are where the money will be cause the shackles arent to expensive.
i cant remember the backspacing on my wheels but im running 20X10 KMC Monsters

i think you can still do a spacer instead of going coilovers, another option if fabtech still has blems, buy them crank them to 8" then add 2" or 2 1/2" spacer. their like $570 for both coilovers direct from them.

a 20x10 might be pushing it for 10" of lift and 40's, im sure your wheels are at 4.5" backspacing. width will be the main factor of how bad you will rub. id look for a 13.5" wide just to limit rubbing.

the fabtech idea isnt bad at all
i dont want to run a spacer right now because the "spacer" that rize uses....dont want to use multiple spacers...seems dangerous.
I know king coilovers has a set for the rize lift, at 8" and can be cranked till 10"
do you think ill rub with my current 15.5" wide tires at 10 inches of lift? cause i got some life left in my tires still....so 10" lift with 38X15.50???
