?'s about purchasing my next Ford
?'s about purchasing my next Ford
So, after closing on our first home this coming Monday, my girlfriend and I will be looking into buying out next Ford. (me: '84 Mustang, '03 Mustang, '98 F150 STX...her: '66 Mustang, '95 Bronco)
After doing lots of searches on this site, I know about installing a leveling kit and getting 33's or 35's.
But I have a question about the spark plug issue. One truck I'm looking at right now is an '07 Lariat with 49K miles build date: 07/07. Now, I know from reading on here that I should be worried about changing the spark plugs because it was built before 10/07. And, since my budget probably won't allow for an '08 or newer, I have been trying to think of some solutions.
What would you guys think if, as part of the deal, I bought a set of spark plugs and had the dealership install them? That way, I will know if they actually did the work because the plugs will now say "Bosch" or "NGK" instead of "Ford" or "Motorcraft". I mean, it's the stock set that are screwing up the threads, right? And if the spark plugs mess while they are changing them, I cancel the deal.
Any thoughts?
PS--Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
