So i just had the dealer install a Ford Gold R/S. I went with the Ford for the factory looking remote and the ability to work with the door keypad.

Anyway, I get the truck back and everything works. Except when i go to test the keypad it fires the alarm.

I asked the dealer (having read every thread the search can find on here) and he says that the alarm and factory keyless are two seperate systems and to his knowledge it cannot work. I showed him the part in the book where it says it will work with the keypad and the factory remotes. The tech said he didnt know.

My factory RKE fobs will lock and unlock the door, but not arm or disarm the alarm. I know this is wrong, everything I have read on here says it should work if installed properly, and it also says everything will work the same right in the FORD Gold book.

Also, when I use the factory RKE fob to unlock the truck the headlights-fogs-markers/taillights come on. Always have. I like that feature. But with the new system when I unlock the door the marker lights flash quick and thats it. Is there any way to get the lights to come on when I unlock the truck like it did stock?

What can I tell him to check to make it work. I have done lots of business with this dealer, and they have always done an excellent job.
