Extended Warranty Question -- http://www.fordwarrantys.com/
I have an ESP through EasyCare - Total Care coverage. My local Dealership confirmed it as very good coverage. Gives me peace of mind. I bought my 2006 Lariat in 2008 with 40,000 miles on it. Got a warranty to cover me until 75,000 or 2012. The amount I drive (4 miles to work), 2012 will come first. Here's a question... When this runs out on me, can I still get another extended warranty at say 65,000 miles and a 6 year old vehicle?

Yes... but it might cost more in your case since you didn't go with a Ford ESP.
That is why I went with a Ford ESP... because after the 7y/100k warranty is up, I can get a third warranty for 4y/47k miles from Ford without an inspection (obviously).
However, you can get a warranty, but you will need an inspection and it will probably cost more.
I'd only do it if you really love your truck and want to keep it forever.
The only reason I want to do it to mine is 3 reasons:
1. There is no reason for me to trade it in. It does everything and more.
2. It is standard shift... Ford will never make a F150 standard shift ever again. So I want to keep this one as long as possible before I go to the dreaded -- automatic.
3. I love my truck.

I doubt I will, but maybe... who knows, I keep my trucks for a while as well. My last F150 was a 95 that I got new in October of 94. Had it 14 years until I got my 06 last year. Oh, by the way, it was a standard shift :-) I do miss it at times!

Yeah, it's nice having a new truck... but it ain't nice paying for it each month when I could be spending the money on bigger and better things than a truck that does the practically the same thing that the current one does.
AFAIK, I will never be pulling large trailers and such, so I will never need the power of diesel...
Plus the new trucks are not standard... and I just can't compel myself to drive an automatic pickup truck, it just isn't happening so soon.
In another couple months it will be payed off and totally in my name... I just can't wait for that month...

I suppose Ford really has been building better vehicles -- at least enough to stand behind them for 11y/147k miles.
According to Mike at Lombard Ford (fordwarrantys.com), you can only get an additional Powertrain Care or Base Care plan.
You can't get the Premiumcare Plan after the 7y/100k.
However, I think after a 100k, all you need is Powertrain care... Basecare would be way more than you'd need... because if anything was going to break, it would have already.

You can also get a Premium Maintenance plan, where you can get oil changes to tire rotations covered with no out of pocket expense as well. I'm not sure what this costs, but I'm sure it is cheaper than paying for them time after time (think of it like locking in the price of oil for oil changes and other dealer services!). It's a great idea because you can just drive your truck into any dealer and have them do all the required maintainance and just drive home without needing to pay anything.

I went to one of these sites before I bought my truck, and printed out the plan I wanted and took that along with me. When I was asked if I wanted to purchase the extended warranty from the dealer I just said I was going to get it online. When they asked me where, I showed them my printouts. They could not match the 7yr/75k for $1200, but could match the 7yr/100k for $2000.

You should've waited and called them! Right now they are taking $195 off all their warranties.
