Well, here is the new truck
Tacoma owners cower in fear when I pull up behind them... My next truck will be a lowered SB/RC Tundra. I love those things. I will keep my truck and buy the Tundra to be my daily driver.
By the way, here's the original poster's new Tacoma...

And this is a SB/RC Tundra...

No one can say it isn't a smart move as far as saving gas..but then again isnt the Ranger the most fuel efficient mid size? I personally will never support Toyota with the purchase of a new vehicle. In my mind..for every vehicle need you may have..Ford has the best option. My blood is blue!
Hope you like the Tacoma. I sold my 02 SuperDuty back in late 07 and decided since I sold my toys I would buy something for better millage and decided on a loaded 08 Tacoma. In stock form I got around 18-19 mpg but I couldn't leave it alone and lifted it along with a ton of other stuff. Lifted it got 14-15 mpg and towed my car hauler with my VW on it really well but the truck itself was really light.....to the point where in windy situations it sucked to drive.....even empty. Unfortunately someone liked it to the point they decided to rip it off from Best Buy in broad daylight. They got a bad *** little truck with 20,000 on the odometer and my insurance didn't cover the 5 grand in receipts I had...bastards.

After insurance settled I decided I didnt want another Tacoma and I bought a 07 SuperCrew. The F150 drives better, tows better and is more comfortable than the Tacoma but then again it should being its a lot bigger.

Dont get me wrong, the Tacoma was a blast to drive around town and was a killer looking truck but the F150 was a better choice for me, not to mention I am a Ford guy and having a Toyota kinda ate at me for a while. My advice is if you are looking for millage you better leave it alone or you will be right back to F-150 millage. Congrats on the new truck, if you have and questions on things you want to do to it just PM me as I had a ton of time and money in mine and know them inside and out. Good luck.
