In order to change the odometer, you would have to change the ECU I believe.

the mileage is stored in the cluster. i took my original one out with 110k miles and put in a lariat cluster from a wrecked truck and the odometer showed 75k.

hmm, I always thought the newer trucks got the ODO signal from the ECU. Learn somethin new every day!
