Question Changing tranny fluid, filter & gasket - Question

2004 new style F-150 with 5.4 and 4x4. I want to change the tranny fluid, filter and gasket. Where's the best place to get the kit that has a nice gasket? One that doesn't leak! I don't like the cork gaskets myself. I'm paranoid about leaks since it's very dry under the tranny right now, but I want to do it myself. What's the key on this truck to changing the fluid/gasket without getting any leaks? Or are these trannys less likely to leak than older models because of the pan/gasket design? Any photos, diagrams or input is appreciated!

I could be wrong but i remeber that gasket can be re-use since its rubber gasket ( not RVT silicone) so try do some search in here..

I m planning to go to the store... I would stick w motorcraft stuff.

If it's a nice rubber gasket that can be reused, I'd love that I'll do more searching.

Unless someone has changed it before it has a reusable pan gasket that is far superior to any thing aftermarket,Many pans have it stamped in the bottom of the pan (This Pan has a reusable gasket) If you get a aftermarket kit with a gasket just use the filter & reuse the oem gasket.
