Bilstein 5100

If anyone has bilstein 5100s on their truck can you send me a pic?
I have a truxx leveling kit on mine and my 33s rub. Anyone have rubbing issues with the bilsteins? How is the ride quality with the bilsteins?

I'll look around for a picture for ya in a sec. What is your truck? 2X4 or 4X4? I am suprised that they are rubing, what is your exact tire size? What size leveling kit?

The Bilsteins will stiffen the truck up quite a bit. I love them. But if you don't want your rider stiffer than it might not be the best option for you.

Here you go: Don't mind the missing hub caps (I was taking the wheels off to clean).

Almost forgot I also have a AAL. Tire size is almost a 33, 32.8.

I suspect it is the wheels and tires that contribute to the rubbing instead of the leveling kit. What combo are you running and where is it rubbing at?

I just had the bilstein's and 35 inch bfg km2's installed a few days ago. Only slight rubbing at full lock. I love the shocks. Check my gallery for pics.

I have levelers on my 04 and when I got my 05 I decided to try the bilstein's beacuse I would have changed the shocks with the leveler. so far I love them "20,000 miles"
only rub at full lock.

Check my gallery I posted some pic 4 you.

I have a 4x4 06 stx. I think the truxx kit was supposed to be 2 inches.
I have swamper ssr 33x12.50 on 17x9 aftermarket wheels. Interco website says tires are 33.4 inches. The tires rub at full lock. Its not to bad going forward but in reverse they rub worse for some reason.

I have the Bilsteins with zero issues. Your rubbing issues are more of a back spacing and off set issue.

leveling kit isnt the issue, its the backspacing/tire width as the others have said

Bilstein 5100 struts at 2" level setting, and rear shocks.

With stock rubbers

With 20" XDs and 33" Toyos

[IMG][/IMG]Mine havw 285-75-17's on Centerline Turbines 17x8 with 4.4" of backspace. These tires end up being a tad over 34" tall and I have no rubbing issues. Like others have stated, the width of tire and offset or backspace have a direct bearing on tire rub. Also if you push the tire size and have big side lugs it may put you over the edge.

I have Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks and 275 55 R20 Cooper Zeon LTZ's. No rubbing and looks great.
