severe throttle delay and rough idle

Hey guys,

Haven't solved this problem yet, soo...

I have this severe throttle delay (~2 sec) only when the truck is warmed up and only after coming off of a stop. In the morning or right after i just start the truck after sitting for a little bit, the truck runs strong and there is immediate response.

I also noticed that this is accompanied by a rough idle at the same time. If i am stopped at a light and let my foot off of the brake and roll, I feel like I am rolling on some extreme mud tires.

Neither of these problems occur all of the time.

Any ideas?

Maybe it's time to clean the throttle body and a tune up depending on how many miles are on your engine.

There might also be an issue with your new transmission.

well, i just got an entire new throttle body with TPS about 3 months ago, so I doubt that's it. it's possible though, which is what i have learned with this truck...

i hope the new tranny isnt the issue

any other ideas?

Turn the key to the ON position but do not start the engine. Press the pedal down, if your hear an electric motor running with the pedal movement, then that's not the issue. If it delays then that could be the source.

ill try that out later this evening. should i hear the sound instantaneously as i press down on the pedal, or should i expect a smaller delay or anything else?
