headrest monitors..

i have just installed 2 9.2" audiovox monitors and a pyle dvd player. for some reason when everything is on, there is like a slight static on the monitors while the dvd is playing. almost like vertical lines scrolling across the screen. ( 90%clear, 10% static) now i wired the 2 monitors and dvd player using a a relay and inline fuse. everything was tighly crimped and taped so i know its not a loose connection. so last night, just for curiousity, i got my dvd player from my house, pluged it in and hooked up the rca's directly to the monitors and it played perfect. so i narrowed it down to the dvd player. thinking its a power issue but cant figure out why. has anybody had this problem before or could help me out??

thanks, anthony

There's a reason Pyle is cheap, you found one.

Try running a better isolated ground. You might also try using a twisted pair line for the monitors to try and block ignition noise.

i did some more troubleshooting and narrowed it down to my battery. i thinks theres noise interference traveling thru my batt and into the feed for the dvd player. because i hooked the dvd player up to a 12v battery charger and it played real nice.

umm not likey. Batteries don't induce noise. Bad grounds, bad rca's, faulty ignition wires, cheap components, and shotty installation create noise. Run a better ground and get quality RCA cables.

The static on the screens happens when the truck
Is Both on or off. I know it has
Nothing to do with the RCA, because I tried a DVD player from my house and it played good. And when I wired the car DVD player directly to the batt it still did it. I'm thinking that something else that I have installed is backfeeding some sort of interference . So when I get home I'm gonna start with the process of elimination- disconnecting each electronic accessory I have connected to the
Battery and see if it Gets better.

All my accessories are connected to the battery terminal so if there was something creating that interference, it would just pass on to something else ok guessing.
