Today i got in the truck and did my usual routin. Used my keypad to unlock, jumped in, started and took off... Well it has happened once before months ago. But the red security light stays on while i drive. But ill arrive at work, turn it off then back on and the light will be off this time..


Whats the deal? Surely its not hurting anything right.

 

I have a similiar problem on my '06 FX4 with 42k miles. About a handful of times over the life of the truck, the red light comes on while driving and stays on for a few seconds to a few minutes and then just goes out. So far has never presented any drivability problems. Also has not done it in the last 6-12 months. Interesting to hear what others have to say.
