Where to mount off road lights?

I have a pair of 9 inch lights that I'm trying to mount on my truck. Way back when I bought them (over 2 years ago) I had purchased a honeycomb grill and planned on mounting them behind it. Two house moves later I no longer have that grill, and don't really want to swap out the chrome grill I have any longer.

I've looked into fabricating a light bar that comes out through the lower bumper like this:

But for the life of me I can not figure out where on the frame or bumper this mounts.

Also considered just mounting them behind the grill I have now (same as image above except chrome), but I figure that won't disperse the light very well.

Anyone have some suggestions on where to put these things?

My opinion, your only 3 options are a Bull Bar, Grill guard, or a bar like the one you posted. Or I guess a light bar on top of the cab. I like the one in the picture you posted more than the Bull Bar. Grill guards are hit and miss in the looks department, depending on the manufacturer

I like the look of that bar too...

and at $80 it's not a bad price, but I still can't figure out where they mount. Says two bolt installation and I can't for the life of me find a spot underneath the truck where this would bolt up at all. Anyone have one of these with pics of where they mount?

There is another option depending on whether you like them or not is a roof or bed mounted light bar.
