yup that is them!! i got one out and havent worked on the other one yet... i had to unbolt the hole steel frame for me to even be able to get to it

ya thats what i did but all i did was the screws right above it and somehow got the passenger side one out

are those the only ones that gave you a hard time? that one is really the last one that i have to get undone that i know of other than the cluster ones and the radio ones...

are you talking about the bolts that are for the whole steel thing or ones facing the opposite of you that you have to undo to get the plastic off?

If you look at the pics in the link I provided in "ohio" I think you can see a tape measure jambed in there to hold out the whole unit. I had to use a pry bar or something to tip it out. It weighs a ton and I think it was crushing my hands.

If I remember correctly, I think I thought if I were to do it again I would leave it all together and try to get the nine main and all the little bolts in the center out and just try to get the whole thing out. But I might be wrong, maybe if you work at it long enough and have rubber arms you can do it

Yeah the ones that are holding the plastic. I was trying to do the same thing as you. leave the steel and yank the plastic

Also, you did figure out how to twist and pull out the vents right. Don't be scared, they wont break.

ya ive taken them out before. do they need to come out or are you just saying for when i am painting?

No, you could leave the shifter, but you had to drop the steering column, but the little cable that go to the icon in the guage cluster had to go because the guage cluster has to come completly out

oh idk i just though you said unless you have the center console shift i would have to take it off... its all good its hard to explain what im asking but ill figure it out

That little cable is routed through the plastic part of the dash
