everyone bashes the 5.4

I love my ford but my 2001 chevy z-71 3" BL 285/75/16 with 185k would haul when I stepped on the gas. As for my 05 150 same pep but I just see the fuel gauge hit empty way quicker than my old chevy. I had aprox 20 gal tank and could hit about 400 miles with a very heavy foot. My 150 has what a 30 gal tank and im barely hitting 330. I say they both have pro's and con's, we could argue who is better for decades. I dont care who is better I'm a truck guy so I like trucks.

The only problems I see with the 5.4L is spark plug changes and oil filter location.
It may not have the best numbers on paper but this engine dates back to 2003 (3v). It was a class leader back then and in many ways, still is. It still pulls the best, has best powerband torque, has best low end torque, gas mileage is average.

my dad 05 F150HD has 96000 on it work truck always loaded with tools and ladders and worked hard
my bothers 04 has 65000 miles personal/work truck still going good only major issues were transmissions and the oil filters leaking with both
