I'd run a few tankfuls of gas using Chevron's Techron concentrate additive. If it's carbon build up, that should help to break it up. Have you tried to see if any codes have popped up?

Both work, but if you use as an additive, I'd use Techron. Using seafoam through a vacuum port is effective, but if you have really bad deposits, I'd try Techron in the fuel system first. You should be able to find either at a autoparts store.

What it sounds like is if you are at hwy speeds and it is doing this when you floor it then the torque limiting in in effect for when it down shifts to 2nd to save the transmission. mine use to do this all the time. to stop it you need to tap overdrive off then floor it and it shouldnt happen. This is done to save the tranny from the dreaded OD to 2nd down shift. if I am below 70 I alwyas hit the OD off before I nail it

Ya my truck drove me nuts because I thought something was wrong but TP told me that it was in the tune to save the transmission. Guess it works because I just rolled over 109K and she aint babied.
