Help on Vent Shades

I am in the market for a new set of vent shades for my 04 SCrew and would like to hear what you fellas think of yours. I had a set of cheap tape on's I got from ebay and after re-taping them twice and the pain of getting the tape off my truck when they started coming loose I think I want to look at the in-channel kind. That said I am open to any and all suggestions Thanks

I put a set of EGR vent shades on. The kind that fit in the window channel. No tape, no fuss. Love'em.

Id highly recommend AVS (auto vent shade) IN-channel Vent Visors.. Ive had them on all my trucks and one sets lasted almost 10 years and still looks great.. Just make sure you get in-channel not the type that sticks to the outside of your trucks, there just fugly and the tape would prob come loose not to mention there stuck on your door paint and moulding, i DONT recommend those. GL..

I have the Vent Shade in channel ones. They have been on the truck about 4 years now and still look and work good.

Just got my dad a set of the in channel shades, and after running the tape on kind for years, he loves them to.

I have the AVS brand tape on. That is all I have ever used and as in any other thing we do to our trucks, it's all in the prep work. I have never had an issue with the 2 sided tape letting go, or any other issues.

Same here, they have been on my truck for just over 3 years now. I do a lot of highway driving, no tape issues. My step dad has the in channel on his Tundra but wishes he got the stick on kind, just a preference of looks.

I have the same kind as above (mr. extreme). By far the best I have had. The low profile looks of the egrs make them look so much better than the tape ons since the almost sit in with the window instead of sticking out.

Has anyone tried the weather tech brand shades? I have a friend who works for weather tech and he can get one heck of a deal on them from me and if they are like the other products from weather tech i think they are going to be A+. I have the mats made by weather tech and they are sweet so can anyone tell me good or bad about the weather tech shades?

Has anyone noticed if the wind noise increased after installing the ones that fit in the channels. I am concerned the window will not roll up tight. Please tell me there is no added wind noise. That was my concern when I bought mine. I havent had any problems with the tape on in over two years.

I had the in channel ones on my blazer like 5 years ago. I was driving down the highway with the window partially open and all of the sudden it flew away and have never gotten any since. I've been weery of them ever since. Plus they are like double the price now then they were two years ago, WTH!!
