Question Need your opinions

First off let me say I know this is probably not the right forum but this one gets the most views & I didn't know where would be a good place to post it, I just want some suggestions. Admin-feel free to move it if you wish.

Now, with that out of the way.....Please be open-minded here cause I know at first it will seem funny or stupid to some of you. This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting OGTerror and seeing his awesome truck! One thing, out of the many, I liked on his truck was the door/floor lighting he had. He took blue LED strips and tapped into the dome lights, so at night when the door is open, the ground is nicely lit. You may be able to see them in this pic.

I want to do this to my truck as well. My question though is would yellow or white LEDs look better? Mind you I have a "yellow" theme going.
In my search on eBay I found ones similar to what he used here:

But then I looked at these which cost a little more but are brighter and because they come with 4 tubes I would like to mount 2 under the doors, then use the remaining 2 under the bed rails to light up the bed when I'm back there because I tailgate quite a bit and always seem to be in my truck bed at night

I did a full underbody lighting system for shows with similar stuff, Check out oznium.com for LED Strips and similar LED stuff. I bought all mine there, I think over 50' of LED strip and cut it myself for the places I wanted it. You can cut every 3" and it can be bent in half, twisted, hell anything really! Its awesome stuff.

Mind you mine is completely removed when its not at a show, but it looks like OG put his on the pinch weld area in which case the Oznium stuff would fit depending on which you buy. I'll look to see which type I bought. I bought 'bright white or hyper white' something like that but it has a white/blue look to it. Yellow wouild look cool but as for functionality/visibility I dont think it would be to great. I guess think of it like those yellow bug lights but a bit brighter bc it is LED's

How come you remove it when not at shows? Is there products bright? I want it to light up pretty good, especially the bed.
OGTerror said he use to have the tubes and they were brighter but due to all the off-roading and mud his truck sees, he kept breaking the tubes.

I just dont want to have to worry about keeping it clean, and wiping it all off when I spray the underside with HD. They are super bright. I think the only pics i have ever taken of them was at a christmas parade/ light show. I'll get them loaded up and see if i have any from indoor/night shows I'm just not aware of. I normally only use them indoors.. I have the recon LED bed light kit in the bed and have no complaints, just kinda expensive. Had i known about DIY LED strips I would have scrapped the Recon stuff.

I would love to see some pics. Yeah the Recon kits is nice but for a lot cheaper, I can get the same effect if not better.

I would go with which ever would be the brightest, yellow does not seem it would be that bright, but would look best because of the theme you have going.

SO....I guess my answer is go with yellow.

id say keep it clean and go with white , i think the yellow might look a little cheesy , but white goes with anything. next your gunna need is a set of hids to match the leds.

Yeah I need HID's, these stock bulbs are worst then the F150. I'm not sure who to go with though, I heard the guy everyone was using isn't with that company anymore??

I'm still undecided about white or yellow. Yellow would match the theme but may look cheesy, white would be good but I'm afraid it would just be blah.

Try a store where you can buy both colors, just ask about return policies, then install one on one side and one on the other take some pics so we can give you better answer, after you have made your decision tell the store you want to exchange the product.

I tried a few places but they said they would only send me one kit and the other once the 1st one was returned.
I think I'm just going to go with the hyper white....can't go wrong with that right?

Here are the pictures i can easily get at right now from the christmas light parade last year.

There is over 50' of led strip of various lengths under there, and I put it all over under there. I would bet I have well over 500+ hours just into that lighting system, the brackets for each individual strip and the soldering of wire and mapping how to conceal it all at shows.

The idea for this parade was they created the look of snow, and I drive a tonka truck. The theme of the parade was christmas in toyland so it worked out and I won 350 bucks for best in parade, and best fit for the theme.

There is more of it and the hooters halloween show in my photobucket

That's awesome FX4life, what color is that?
So you say there is over 500+ hours in just lighting why so much??
And is that the LED strips or the tubes that you can buy?
