Buyers Remorse!!!

As the title says: I purchased a 4.6 2008 Ford F-150 FX2 sport supercrew with 8k miles last week Tuesday. Unfortunately one of my flaws is that when I see something, I have to have it immediately. So I drove the truck home happy. However, after researching, I found out that the FX2 comes in a 5.4 engine as well . So after doing some research on ebay, I found a 5.4 2007 FX2 sport supercab with 11k miles. My question is, would it be a good trade??

just to summarize:

2008 FX2 4.6 8k miles, supercrew

for

2007 FX2 5.4 11k miles, supercab
ebay link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...fCarsQ5fTrucks

Thanks in advance, and feel free to flame on my spontaneous purchase practices...I deserve it, lol.

Thats not buyers remorse...thats impulse buying.

Keep what you have. I think you will lose your butt if you start juggling things around.

No matter how big or small the purchase or a limited time offer...my rule of thumb is I wait 24 hours before I make it final. Period!! If I lose it so be it. If I get it great!

Impulse buying is definitely the correct term. Well I will take this as a learning lesson and actually research fluently before making a purchase. I am happy with the truck I have. It just sucks knowing that there is a 5.4 out there for relatively the same price.

Since you recognize that is a problem for you, perhaps you should actively work on it.

The 4.6 should do most anything you want it to do, so I wouldn't bother trying to trade for just the 5.4.

Just throw a 2 valve Mustang GT blower on it, then you won't regret it anymore.

You would be paying tax title and registration twice, that gets expensive.

And an 08 SCrew for an 07 SCab is a poor deal to begin with.

So relax. It's not like the 5.4 is all that great anyway.

you can throw a Centrifugal blower on there, or snag a Mustang 4.6 2v positive displacement blower on there.

each will run you $3,500-5,000

but yeah, you'll lose your *** swapping out for the other truck. just get some 4.30 gears and call it a day. you'll be able to out accelerate a 5.4 FX2 with gears

Great suggestion right there, 4.30 gears would really help out and would be much cheaper than swapping trucks.

Stick with the 4.6 do some engine mods you won't even be thinking about the 5.4

There is a little story I heard long ago that I revive when I have the urge to impulse purchase something. And it goes like this.
There was this old bull and a much younger bull standing on a hill overlooking a heard of cows. The younger bull turned to the older one and said
" Hey, lets run down there and screw one of those lady cows". Without lifting his head the old bull responded, " No son, lets just take our time and walk down there and screw them all".
Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
