New Trailer Tow Mirrors w/PICS (Easy Mod)

Installed the new mirrors yesterday. They only took about an hour to install the mirror itself and get the heat, signals, and power working to them. I followed labman1014 instructions by moving the ground pin to the new ground pin location. I used a small saftey pin for the pin removal. Once that was done I was able to wire up the puddles which took about 3 hours. (Took the spare ground and used it as a lead wire for the puddles as suggested by labman1014)

Don't be scared though I spent about an hour troubleshooting why my lights were not working when I was done. Turns out I had the dimmer switch turned down and since I tied them off to the dome lights the outside mirrors can now be dimmed to be off!! After checking every fuse in the truck I decided to take a drive to think about it and before I got out of the parking lot I figured it out. Only word of advice is to take your time and do this in the morning or evening. I was wiring mid day yesterday and got really sick due to heat exhuastion. Also get a wire puller, I used that thing a bunch pulling the wire through the dash to wire the passenger side mirror. On to the pics. (No night time pics, but I was impressed last night how much light the puddles put out)

If anyone has any questions please PM me and I will get back with you. If your on the fence go ahead and buy these, not nearly as hard as I thought it could be.

what i did was move either pin 2 or 9 to pin 8. you should not have anything in the pin 8 slot now, if you do let me know...it means u already have the wiring for dome. then i would cut the wire in pin 11 about 4 inches past the cennector and tap that wire into the dome wire under the drivers door seal.

do the same for each mirror and u will be good to go!!!

Those mirrors look fantastic... At $130 each, not a bad price...
