the only thing with dumping the exhaust other than the drone of course, is that if your in an area that deals with the four seasons (the lovely white stuff) is that the condensation from the exhaust can prematurely rot the underside of the box

I LOVE THE SOUND.

It's got that early 90's mustang sound.

You can only get that from a Flowmaster or a knockoff.

Is there a drone at cruising speed or just a certain rpm when accelerating?

I cut my muffler off and had a 24" echo tip welded up in its place under the bed about a year and a half ago. I'm probably going to run it out the back soon as it gets really old with the in cab noise. It is especially sucky on those drives home from work after a long day and a headache.

There is pictures of my setup dumping after the axle on this forum. Do a seach.

Not loud at all in the cabin, sounds mean outside.

There is a certain amount of drone but it's not too bad.

So are you deciding to dump it? I have heard a lot of positive comments about the roush off road exhaust though..why the change?

I originally thought about a straight pipe but I heard too many negative things about it like a worse economy and a loss of low end power

I have dual super 44's w/ an x pipe and they're dumped right before the axle. I don't have that much drone at all (and I know drone, used to be straights) and it sounds awesome. Nice rumble.

I had 40's before I had 44's...I think the 44's have a deeper tone, with the same loudness. The 44's are basically Super 40's with a slimmer case(a 4 inch like the reguar 40 series versus the 5 inch on the super 40's). I like the 44's over the 40's, personally.
