code: P1233
code: P1233
i just recently got the DTC P1233 on my Edge Evolution. I know its in ref to the fuel pump driver offline. the truck starts fine, and it hasnt died on me, but i was wondering if anyone w/ an 04 or up f150 has encountered this code and what they did to fix it. truck doesnt seem to idle as smooth. i remember recently reading something about someone replacing an electronic module mounted on the crossmember fwd of the spare tire.
I just got a edge evolution also for my '04 F150. I too am getting the DTC P1233 relating to the Fuel Pump Driver "off-line". I haven't experienced any troubles with my truck, or lets say any that I was aware of. Would this trouble code be something that I have had for a while, or would the edge evolution be causing the problem. Also, if this code something to even worry about?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
ive got it showing up on my 04 aswell with the evo but its not the evo ive had te evo for about 2 years and it just came up about 3 weeks ago but my truck needs a serious tune up i also remember seeing something about someone else replacing it because of corrosion
Anyone ever simply reset ther IRS or fuel shutoff switch to clear the code p1233? I was wondering if that would be better to try before replacing the fuel pump driver module. If so, I am assuming the switch is located besides the fuse box inside passenger kick panel. Is it as simple as pressing the button, or is there more steps to it. I don't want to screw anything up!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Derik - if that was the case (tripped) do you think yer truck would be running at all?

sorry about that....I have already ordered a FPDM from ebay and it is on the way to me. I just have searched on here before and found someone had just resetted the IFS and it worked. I guess it does make sense...if the IFS was tripped, the truck wouldn't run...
Do I need to do anything besides "plug and play" the new FPDM? For instance, disconnect the battery during the swap?? I don't think the procedure listed addressed that.
Sorry for all questions! I am not a usual "do-it-yourselfer"....
