HELP!!-Plastic windshield Cowl???

Guys, on my 04 SCREW, the black plastic around the wipers which I'm guessing is the windshield cowl...the rubber pieces on the outsides have broken off, where can I get a new one?? Does the whole piece have to be purchased or can the pieces of this be bought seperately, thanks!!

I'm going to get in on this thread as well. I need to replace mine. I also have a small crack in my actual cowl from the previous owners neglect.

I have read on here before the little rubber pieces cannot be purchased separately, the entire cowl is the part number.

The solid one seem just too weird. It doesn't affect the A/C system or what ever uses the cowl for air?

I'm not sure. I've never heard anything bad about it, but maybe someone else might know?

I have to agree with this.
My OEM one has been nothing but problems since I got it.

It's the two piece cowl, and keeps popping up on one side.
*bangs head*

the SS one, is on my to-do list.

One piece of advice for anyone that still has a warranty.

Warning: I was an idiot for this, and know this...

If you try and use a screw and drill it down..
A.) It won't work...
B.) The dealer won't "attempt" for fix it anymore...

..I can't believe I'm telling you guys that, I still feel stupid...

The only way to get the new rubber pieces is to buy the entire new cowl. You do have to buy both pieces and the cheapest I could get both for was about $125. Had to get a new windshield last summer and the window guys finished destroying my rubber pieces. My plastic was faded anyway and need to be replaced. Figured i would get them after the winter passed, a year later still on the to do list.

My rubber ends rotted off this past year. When I decide to order one I'm going with the SS cowl.

for those of you that are having issues with the cowl popping up on driver side, it took 3 attempts but dealer finally got it. apparently the clasp under the damn thing is a PITA to get hooked properly. BUt the last time i had them do it got my normal mechanic and he got it hooked on good been .... about 15k miles so far and all is fine and its tight as a board.

... got tired of banging on that dam thing every morning when i went to school/work to only see it pop up again when i backed out of the driveway!!

My rubber end pieces were coming apart so I took it to the dealer today and they replaced the whole cowl piece under warranty. The cowl was starting to fade anyway. I thought they would replace just the end pieces but I got a new cowl instead. I had them replace the tailgate badge also which was under warranty.
