Junk yard. My local junk yard had several F150 so I just pick the ones that were in the best shape. Be very careful when you remove and install them. The rubber is fragile.

=Stealth;4609605]Yeah that's the one. It can be modified to mount without removing the hood.

Yes Stealth, that is a beautiful truck! One question though, the air intake from the outside is through the "ice cube trays", right? How does the heat/ a/c get the outside air? I realize on Rec. you're not pulling from the outside, but if you want max flow, or just vent, seems like it would definitely be "flow limited".

It's not like the cowl is sealed on there. The hole in the cowl where the wiper goes through for the passenger side wiper was modified/enlarged so the cowl can be removed without taking the hood off, and the part of the cowl where the hood hinge is has an area where air can flow also. I haven't tested it though, yet.

Rubber End Pieces for Cowl

I know this is an old thread but there is now a guy on eBay selling the end pieces. His company makes them. They obviously aren't OEM.

As I write this, there are 20 days left on this particular sale.

I just ordered a pair.

I just bought the whole new cowling from Tasca, and installed it today. Pop off the wipers, open the hood, take off the weather strip and pop the cowling loose.

make sure to take the wiper fluid hoses off. Replace with new parts in reverse. new parts come with new fluid hoses. pop everything back in. took me all of 20 mins. I wanted to replace before I trade her in.

oh yeah now my wiper fluid are squirting again!

I found that fire stop clay putty works wonders... the stuff you use to fill holes for electrical conduit. You don't want the red stuff that dries out, you want the gray stuff that stays pliable. I used it on my cowling in a couple places and it's held it down for like 2 to 3 years now... even during the near 100f summer days and -25f winter days.

This is a cross-post, but just in case people don't see it in the other thread.

Yet me give an unsolicited testimony for cowlends.com. I had a problem, caused by my wife (let's leave it at that ;-) ) and Mike and Kim helped me out in a big way even though they didn't need to. Other companies would have said, "too bad, so sad," but they came through. I know they are a small company, which makes it all the more impressed. Good karma for them--if you were at all on the fence about getting these, I hope this changes your mind. I don't know them other than from purchasing cowl ends from them, but I hope they decide to make other products I need, because I would gladly purchase from them!
