my PTM project

so a few months ago i started to PTM the things that ford should have done on every F150, the door handles, tailgate handle, mirror caps and lower valance/fog housings. it was a pretty straight forward job that yielded great rewards for me. i wont bore you with my usual pic by pic thread, i will leave you with just a few pics. i hope you enjoy and tell me what you think. one day i think i will have a pro do it, but this just solidified my decision.

just did the mirror caps. 4 steps,

sand, primer and sanding, base and then a few coats of clear.

and the final result.

as you can see i work with a lot of truck guys. but every time we go to lunch, they want to take my truck... weird...

I am waiting to figure out what color scheme I want. The FX2 grill is nice but then the saleen grils are nice but a billet.... See my problem? But no, the honeycomb isn't staying.
Thanks for the compliments guys

Did you remove the mirrors to paint them?

Nah I was creative with the tape and used the mirror swivel to my advantage.

So I have looked and I think I will go with a nice billet upper and lower grill set. I love the look of the salleen stuff but don't think the color would look right with what I have done so far. I can't picture a PTM grill looking go on the truck, what do you all think?
