Thanks for the compliments guys
so i was tempted to edit my post but i will eat my words. after some thought, i decided to do a looksee and bought an entire grill set from tycos and paint that while saving my stock grill just in case. well after a few cans of paint, this is what i got.

i am on the fence with it. the wife likes it and i do to a point. i think the recessed design is what bothers me but all in all, i might keep it. i thought of going with a Black insert but didnt think it would match anything so went with teh PTM oxford white. now i need to score another one and build a lower grill and i am set. what do you all think? and thanks for the advice earlier in the thread.

here is a flashless pic

I think it looks pretty good, but like you said, I'm on the fence as well. I'd like to see it after you made a lower grille.

you're the one paying for the gas to go to lunch as well as being their taxi. i wouldn't care what i was going to lunch in if the ride was free and the miles weren't on my vehicle.

that being said, i like what you've done, but i'm undecided on the piece below the bumper. i'm thinking that's one thing that needs to stay black.

did you see the other trucks? the only worthy truck there is a 04-05 expo to ride in. but honestly dont care about miles or gas money. we all owe each other for something or another. plus were family, you dont worry about family and gas money. i'll take sucker status, its cool

I have left it alone. I bought another honeycomb insert to cut up for the lower bumper. it is growing on me and I have better pics but cant figure out how to downsize the pics on this mac laptop I just got. Soon though, the grill gets here the 13th and the pic issue will get skinned soon.

I think the problem may be the chrome surround, I think white would look better myself

Yeah I would paint it, your headlights will still tie into the bumpers so they won't look out of place, I honestly think it will look much better

IMO, I like it with the chrome surround. Ties nicely into the bumper.

Looks good! I think I like the chrome surround with the white in the middle? Definately different! I would wait on deciding to paint it until after you do a lower and see what it looks like. You also need to get a white overlay on the ford oval.

I agree, White surround for the grille, but a chrome Roush insert would look good!

I would do the honeycomb for the bumper grill and paint that white first before you painted the surround...

Once you do the bumper, then look and see if the surround still needs to be painted.

I would also make the bumper grill a little recessed to match the upper grill.
