factory key pad code

factory key pad code

i have an 04 supercrew with keypad entry. bought it used from a dealer so he didnt know the keypad code. now im trying to find the factory code, that im told is written somewhere in the truck to reset my keypad. anyone know where this factory code is written?

The factory code, that cannot be reset, is on the back wall of the cab behind the back seat on the drivers side under the trim panel. It will be a 5 digit numerical code. You can put in your own code, but you can't change the original.

The above post is correct, but to clarify, you must have the factory code to enter a code of your choosing. The unit will hold a max of two codes, the factory and one of yours.
