Your wheels go real well with that rig, but if I ever see a Walmart stick-on vent added.......

 

I remember the thread someone made making fun of your wheels. I didn't think they'd look good at all on a truck. I was curious to see them, though, when you said you got them on yours. My mind changed real quick when I saw them on your rig because it looks bad-ss with them!

 

I say the same about alot of the crap people put on their truck here .

But again, opinions. All my style mods are deep scratches, gouges, dings & a dent

 

At least he has LT handles and Ptm mirror caps instead of the chrome covers

 

My only thought when I saw this was, what if that guy belonged to this forum? No one deserves public humiliation just because of what they choose to do to their vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I don't like everything people do to their trucks either. But I keep it to myself. I mean hell, I'll admit it, I have Putco mirror caps and door handle covers. So what does that make me, a real loser? I'm sure most of you don't like it, but I think it makes my truck look good in MY eyes.

 

I don't see anything wrong with the thread, or taking photos of a truck and posting it on line. If it was a compliment thread then none of you soft (#$#$# would be saying a word, but because he is pointing out the truck looks like a bag of (*##^ with those "mods", you get all sensitive.


There is a fine line between classy, and ricey/chunty/redneck... If you don't know where that line is then carry on with the mods and we'll snap a picture and point it out if you get to carried away.

 

I snap pictures of odd vehicles and their "accessories". I have just yet to post them because it usually ends up like this. Some mods like chrome handles, mirrors, etc seems silly to me but other like it, that isn't something I would slam anyone for. Now stick-on vents is where I draw the line. Come on people, you aren't fooling anyone. These part store end-cap items protrude from the car's surface nearly an inch. These are never stuck on in the correct location and always crooked. If saying that about stick-on vents offends someone, maybe they should be enlightened. Normally these are things I would go out of my way to say to someone, but while we are on topic...these are my humble feelings on the subject.

Heck I HATE window visors over the windshield, yet some people just love them. It is all personal preference.

I would have to say many of the mods I see on here I find tacky, ugly, or simply a waste of money.

But everybody has different tastes. I'm sure many people here making the insults have had their trucks laughed at by others as well.

When I worked for PONTIAC 40 years ago we sold those "lip-mouldings" as a $200.00 option...they are actually PLASTIC.........WHAT THE HELL IS HE THINKING !?!

And as far as the fake VENTS.........
The ONLY car that pulled that one off was the 3 and 4 "HOLE'" vents on the BIG OLDS back in the 50's.....
only old farts like me remember those...BUT THEY WERE COOL!

Yupp, I really hate it when people stick chrome all over their trucks....LOL !!

 

And Chrome skull caps look terrible why?

On the right truck, they look GREAT.
