2" or 2.5" AS leveling kit?

Hey guys, I have been searching for about a week and comparing the 2" look to the 2.5" look. I have a 2005 supercab FX4 and I am gonna level it. I bought the 2" kit but I dont think it will look perfectly level. I also have the A.R.E. fiberglass bed cover so I think the 2.5 will look better since I have the height in the back from the cover.

What do you guys think? Pitures? Thanks

Hey, I just put the 2.5 on my truck this weekend. Sits almost perfectly level, and I only gained about 2'' of total front lift (not sure how that happened, most guys get 2.5+ when they put it on).

Go out and physically measure the difference between the front and rear. It's different for different people. A 2" leveled me out perfectly.

My '04 scab was just a hair over 3" different from front to back. I got the 2.5" AS kit and it looks level, even though the rear is a bit higher still.

Pre-level, the front seemed to drag on everything.

Post level across my front yard. The front appears higher, so that is deceiving as I pulled up further than normal. Trust me though it looks level on pavement. I even included a couple to show how a simple twist of the camera can make the illusion worse.

General rule of thumb is 2.5" for the 2004-2005 trucks and 2" for the 2006 and later models. The earlier trucks seemed to have more of a rake from the factory.

The 2.5" AS on my 2005 made the truck sit perfect.

I have a 2" leveling kit. The difference between the front and back is less than a 1/2". Check for your self...

so here is the updated news,

I measured the front, 37 1/4" and I measured the back 39 1/4". Every 05 i have talked to had 3in of rake and used the 2.5" AS kit.

I think I am gonna stick with the numbers and go with the 2". Thanks for everyones input!

Thanks yetti96. For some reason the images were showing up on my laptop in my post and in your reply. But when i checked using my desktop i had no images.....strange. Oh well, i just created a gallery and edited my original post. JK-forum is a 07-10 jeep wrangler website. Just thought i could use my gallery url images from there.......wrong.....LOL

Thanks again yetti

I have a 2006 screw and I installed an AS 2" leveling kit. My front actually sat 1/2" HIGHER than the rear after install, settle and alignment. I installed Firestone Airbags in the rear to fix it.
