Alarm Too Sensitive

I have a 2008 F-150 Supercrew with dealer installed remote start. The alarm that is incorporated into the system seems to go off at the slightest noise or vibration... loud stereo, thunder... sometimes for no reason at all it seems.
Does anyone know if there is a way to decrease the sensitivity?

Yes, depending on the alarm they differ. I know on mine if you hold down the lock and unlock at the same time it will increase or decrease. Read the owners manual it should tell you!

my old module had a rotating switch. it went from 0(lowest) - 10 (highest) settings

I had to dial it back to a 5/6 ish. anything higher and it was constantly chirping and going off.

look under the dash by the steering column. hopefully your Ford one is similar

These guys are right it depends on the system. On my clifford alarm system each individual sensor has a sensitivity up or down adjustment.

I read the Owner's Manual, Quick Reference Guide, and all the other user related materials cover to cover when I bought the truck, and looked it again when I decided the alarm was too sensitive and needed adjusting. There's nothing about the remote start in any of the literature they provide owners.

The remote has "Ford Motor Company: P/N 7L3J-15X601-AA" on the back. The only reason I knew it was a dealer add on and not factory is it's not on MSRP, but a separate listing of options.
I have been Googling various combination's of the P/N and Ford and came up with a PDF document titled:
GEN-2 POWERCODE INSTALLATION & TECHNICAL REFERENCE MANUAL.
It has the Ford logo all over it, and some links to Ford Dealer Tech sites, but they require passwords. It is 37 pages and looks like it has instructions for a number of different alarm kits. I can't find the name POWERCODE, on my equipment but I'm sure it' one of them because there is a drawing of my remote (without the FoMoCo logo) in the parts layout for the RMST (remote start) kit. It gives wiring diagrams on the 2007 F-150 too. I haven't gone over it real well yet, but it goes into specifics on programing different aspects such as door locks, key in sensor, steering lock, outside and inside light timing functions and a lot more. I'm sure what I need is in it, I just have to find it.
