And for the record, the first thread Ftruck linked to was a thread that was ended with me providing the exact info I am providing here, and no one to argue it.

Actually, I don't know what manual YOUR looking at because I just checked my owners manual and the link provided above for owners guide and checked the service PDF posted.

You may be confused because it says to change your trans fluid every 30k IF YOU HAVE A TORQSHIFT transmission only(used on superduty's). The first scheduled trans change for all other transmission types is 150k. Ford uses a lifetime trans fluid.

That being said, they have an "severe duty" changing schedule that has you change the fluid before 150k, for lots of towing or other loading of the trans. Also, I would still INSPECT the trans fluid periodocally and see if it needs changing............

So that means you are right? I'll still flush mine when I want to I flushed at 36k and am sitting on 91,000 I think I'll drop the pan and change the filter at 100k.

Normaly, yes, that is exactly what it means.

I am going by the service schedule for these trucks found on the Ford service website. It is the same regardless of level of duty for the transmission. It's even printed on the wall in the service bay at the dealership.

But to each thier own.

I'd be more likely to say any person who runs out and flushes every d@mn system in their truck every 30,000 miles and spends $500.00 bucks is the idiot, but hey, that's just my opinion.
