any reason valvoline max life wont last 100k?
I think the biggest reason for mine is the tires and the constant in and out of the o/d with the 3.55's, id guess with 4.56's it runs alot smoother and wont over cycle the tranny like mine does. Do you have a tuner?

It is always a good thing to change any and all fluids... a external trans cooler is also a great idea for those in hot locals.

A good tranny guage or a gryphon in my case is also handy

Mine has the towing package, that little cooler hardly does anything

If it hardly does anything then that means it does something.

Having worked as a service writer in the past, I know that it is better to flush your fluids on a regular basis than waiting for 100K + miles before doing any maintenance at all. It is when you wait for long times that deposits form here and there and when cleaned and flushed, the deposits are moved or disturbed. Now pressures change that are now much different than they have been in a long time. This is when worn or marginal parts may now fail.

Although B&G is a fine product, remember that everyone at the dealerships service department is getting a kickback on every can/service they sell. They may want to sell you a B&G emissions service for $80-$100 bucks while getting $3.00 (cash) for doing so. It makes you think if they are selling you the service or the kickback.

the truck drives way better with the 4.56s i wasnt going to do them, but was afraid to tow anything, and was sick of slipping out of overdrive

no tuner currently. i have the computer set for the lowest gear/tire combo it allows (3.73/31in iirc) its like 6-7% off...

Tuner makes a huge difference in the way the truck drives and it allows for speedo changes, I highly reccomend it
