bought try to haggle them on the price make sure you point out that the rear bumper doesn't right like it's been rear ended but not fixed correctly
whats a good price to talk him down to?
The major thing I look for in a vehicle is if it has what I want. Sometimes going a year older but getting more of a truck is better.. even if the price is slightly higher. It is never black and white as to the value because all trucks are going to be slightly different with different options and also flaws.
be sure the truck is solid, not a salvage, runs straight, does not shimmy, the tires are wearing correclty.. basic used car stuff.
Also don't settle.. if you want leather.. wait for that truck with leather, if you want the short box.. don't get yourself into a llong box.
even if you need to wait it out and drive a 500.00 beater for 3 months... do it and get the truck you want.

Well it all depends on what you want.. if you want a truck and any ole' truck will do.. then those you have listed seem reasonable. Me.. I am a little more picky and I researched and looked around for almost 9 months.
I knew I was not buying new and could not order what I wanted.. so I had to compare what was out there.. and when the right one popped up.. I was able to jump on it.
Maybe it comes with age and having a certain mind-set.. but I have had too many vehicles that i was making payments on that were just okay. I wanted something that I could keep for many many years and would not get bored.
let me ask you this question? Are you ready to buy. and before you answer, really think what that means... have you driven, looked at and know the differences between models? have you gotten pre-approved for financing or have the finds ready to buy now. Have you looked into the long run costs and compared that to buying new?
What about new vs used % rates, warranty coverage options. You would be suprised what a 0% finance plan could save on new as compared to used with %.
Resale values only mean so much.. I buy to run and keep the truck and if it holds value that is a bonus. I am not into flipping trucks for resale.
It sounds to me like you need to do more homework before you post 40 trucks asking what we think.

High miles, but seems very clean and you might be the one that he takes 13k from. If it was tight and a good runner.. I would not be afraid of the miles, especially if he had all the service records.

Again, the miles are above 50k.. but the price is lower.

Clean NADA retail on the '05 truck you first mentioned is $18,375. Work your way down from there. For example, reduce repairs and damage accordingly. Average trade-in is around $15K. You most likely won't get below $15.5K if it's in excellent condition.
Dealers understand NADA values more than anything else.

Now may be the worst time to buy a used f150. The dealer may have few of these on the lot because demand is high for used f150s. Gas prices are down and optimistic ones are singing the recession is over and the recovery is starting.
I think you'll be better off if you just wait longer, or at least be more patient. Some of the best economist and investors say there are no mathematical number to support the end of the recession.
Used f150 prices may be at an all time high right now, and next year there may be some super deals out there when this market recovery turns out to be a head fake. If you want one bad then you want one, but know what your getting into when you make that offer.
