How will this turn out? Opinions?

Alright so I have a 2004 Lariat screw 2wd and I want to get some extra ride height... As much as I'd love to get a 6" lift it just doesnt fit my budget and in my opinion is kinda silly to put on a 2wd truck. But anyways, I was thinking of getting it leveled. Would I be able to fit 33's without rubbing? Is there anything I can add onto the leveling kit to get more height? Also, what leveling kit/add ons do you guys recommend as well as wheels/tires?

If anyone has any pics of a leveled 2wd Id love to see them...trying to figure out what itll look like.

Thanks guys

Increasing Hight...

A 2" to 2 1/2" leveling kit will give you the room to install 33" tires without rubbing. If the wheels have the correct backspacing you can go to a larger size tire without rubbing. My truck has a 2" leveling kit, Amp Bitterroot Wheels with 4.5" BS, and 34" Toyo Open Country MTs and no rubbing. That's about a 4" increase in hight. Check it out...

I hope this helps...

Thats a great lookin truck, I love the tire choice! Will the leveling kit on my 2wd be at the same height as a 4x4 with a leveling kit? Are there different shocks I can add for extra height?

your truck with a leveling kit will still be smaller than 4x4 with a leveling kit. there isnt anything to add with the leveling kit, you can either do this or a lift.

Here's my 2wd with a 2.5" Auto Spring spacer, 2" lowering shackles in the rear and 285/65-18 BFG A/T's. I put the shackle on because I like my trucks to sit a tad higher up front.

How much is costly? $65 for an AS leveling kit and another say $70 for an alignment and you are level....OR.... $1500 minimum I think for a 4" or 6" lift kit plus the need for bigger tires and possible wheels.

I just cant justify spending the money for a 6" lift along with new tires and wheels

Aren't 2wd trucks supposed to be lowered?

But seriously, the 2wd's are fairly level anyway. I'd leave it alone.

I would say just go with a 2.5" leveling kit and either a 3" block to replace your 1-5/8" stock block or an add a leaf to get that back up. Cheapest option in my opinion and can be installed with just a couple of hand tools nothing crazy and they look great.

his truck is a 2wd it has no rear block. if you wanted more lift in the back you could get a set of the factory 4x4 blocks.
