Lift or leveling kit???

I was thinking about putting a 3 or 2 inch suspension lift on my truck plus a 3 inch body lift. But i was told by someone to just crank my torsion bars a little to gain about an inch or more and then put a 3" leveling kit the front and maybe a 1" or 1.5" blocks on the rear. What do you guys think would be better?? Does anyone have any pics of any fx2's with the leveling kits or small lifts?

Were to we begin? Just to confirm, you are wanting to rise a 2wd right? Also, you might want to look into a 2 or 2.5" leveling kit (3" is a bit much for the suspension). The 2-2.5" leveling kit does just that, level it. If you want the factory rake again you should get a block, AAL, or ride-rite bags. Oh yeah, you don't have torsion bars. All depends on what you want. Sounds like you want an FX4 to me

First off, our trucks do not have torsion bars. That was the 97-03 body style. You could either go with a 6" suspension lift or like you said and do a 2.5" leveling kit (I have and would recommend one from Autospring Corp) and the throw a 3" body lift on. The you will be able to clear 35's.

I noticed AutoSpring has a 2", 2 1/2 & 3" front lift. Which would be the best to make it even with the rear. I have stock size tires.
My dad has the same truck but he has Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S p265-70 R17. Would his truck need a higher leveling kit?

I've never seen a 3" AutoSpring for the front, just 2 and 2.5". Autospring does make a 3" block for the rear. Every truck is different, so take a measurement of your truck and see how much difference your truck has F/R and buy the size you need. Here is a pic of my old truck with a 2.5" AS kit on stock wheels and tires 275/65/18.

Like 05RedFX4 said take a tape and measure at the center of the wheel wells to see how big of leveling kit you want. One thing to keep in mind is that most leveling kit will actually give you more lift what they say they are. I got a 2.5" AS kit and ended up getting 2.75", which made my truck perfectly level. Even though I didn't want it that way.
